Now that’s getting warmer, it’s finally time for some Spring fashion DIYs! Yay!
The first DIY for Spring 2018 I want to share with you is this simple white tee restyle, made super cool with a wool pocket. Mixing cotton and wool is okay, when the weather is neither hot nor cold! Are you ready to start?

Ora che inizia a fare più caldo è finalmente giunto il momento per idee fai da te fashion! Evviva!
Il primo DIY per questa Primavera 2018 che voglio mostrarvi è il restyle di una maglietta bianca, resa super cool da una taschina in lana. Mixare cotone e lana è ok, quando non fa né caldo né freddo! Pronte ad iniziare?
It’s definitely too early for the closet change, so right now the wardrobe is full of warm and light clothes, to mix together depending on…yes, Spring weather…so unpredictable! But it lets us play with different fabrics and styles and we can’t say it is not funny! This is why I made this wool pocket tee. Wool, you know, is a natural fabric, but maybe not many of you know how versatile it is. It’s warm but also lets your skin breath and it can be also worn in Summer (in lighweight)! It’s resistant, flexible and can be dyed in any color. Perfect for DIY projects! Senza dubbio è troppo presto per il cambio dell’armadio, quindi al momento il guardaroba è pieno di abiti pesanti e leggeri, da abbinare in base a…già, il clima primaverile, così imprevedibile! Però ci lascia giocare con tessuti e stili diversi e non possiamo dire che non sia divertente! Ecco perché ho realizzato questa maglietta con taschina in lana. La lana, sapete, è un tessuto naturale, ma forse non molte di voi sanno quanto sia versatile. Calda, ma anche traspirante, quindi perfetta persino in Estate (se in tessuto leggero)! Resistente, flessibile e persino adatta ad essere tinta in ogni colore. Perfetta per i DIY! YOU NEED // VI OCCORRE:
- white tee // maglietta bianca
- wool fabric // pezzetto di lana
- needle and thread // ago e filo
- scissors // forbici
I opted for thread color in contrast with the wool, to have a funnier effect. If you don’t know how to make running stitches, follow this tutorial (point 2) 🙂 // Io ho optato per filo a contrasto per un effetto più divertente. Se non sapete come fare il punto filza, seguite questo tutorial (punto 2) 🙂
HOW TO // COME PROCEDERE:
1)
Cut a piece of wool in pocket shape. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just look like a pocket haha. Fold the fabric with your fingers and sew the lower hems (you can also help yourself with pins). // Tagliate un pezzo di lana nella forma di una tasca. Non deve essere perfetta eh, basta che sembri anche solo lontanamente una tasca ahah. Piegate il tessuto con le dita e cucite l’orlo dei lati più bassi (potete anche aiutarvi con spilli).
2)
Sew the lateral sides too. I opted for sewing the hems before, so that it’s easier when you have to sew the pocket to the tee. I left the top raw cause I liked it the way it was, but you can sew the hem if you want! // Cucite anche i lati laterali. Io ho optato per cucire tutti gli orli prima, così è più facile quando vi trovate a cucire la tasca alla maglietta. Io ho lasciato il lato superiore grezzo perché mi piaceva così, voi siete libere di fare l’orlo se vi va!
3)
Now place the pocket on the tee and sew them together, trying to pass on the already sewed stiches. Voilà! // Ora posizionate la tasca sulla maglietta e cucitele insieme, cercando di ripassare i punti già fatti. Voilà!
