Have fun with colour // Osa con i colori
Outdoor talking, you don’t need to worry about clashing colors because when it comes to flowers and plants, you can’t really go wrong. Stick with flowers and plants that are easy to take care of and that only need a little pruning and watering. You can also use color on fencing and outdoor furniture, also by painting them yourself. Some colorful flowers and plants that you can incorporate in your space are Wisteria, Zinnia, Petunia, Celosia, Lavender, and Camelia. // Parlando di spazi aperti, non si può sbagliare quando si tratta di colori. Ci sono tantissime piante che potete scegliere, ma se non avete il pollice verde, restate su quelle più facili da curare. Potete anche acquistare (o dipingere) mobiletti da esterno o divisori, per dare un tocco unico al vostro ambiente. Alcune piante adatte sono il glicine, la zinnia, il geranio, la petunia, la lavanda e la camelia.
Create privacy // Crea la privacy
If you’re working on your tan (and for 1000000 other reasons) it’s important to prioritize the privacy of your outdoor space. You can do that will high shrubs and hedges, or you can use fencing, all these will give your space more privacy and an intimate atmosphere. Bamboo and vines are perfect since they cover well, are resistant and natural and will leave your space “breath” unlike the plastic fencings. // Se volete abbronzarvi (e per mille altri motivi ovvi) è importante che il vostro spazio all’aperto sia davvero privato. Potete creare la privacy con divisori e cespugli che daranno anche un’atmosfera più intima. Le piante migliori? Il bambù e i rampicanti, dato che coprono bene, sono resistenti e soprattutto naturali. Il vostro ambiente non sarà “soffocato” come con i divisori di plastica.
Experiment with materials // Sperimentate con i materiali
Experimenting with materials gives your outdoor space a bit more variety than just grass. You might want to consider installing patios or adding bark or stone to various areas of the garden. With different materials, you are going to get a more professional look and it’s not hard to mix it up, it just requires some creativity! // Sperimentare con vari materiali darà al vostro spazio un tocco unico. Potreste aggiungere un patio, del parquet, delle piastrelle, della corteccia, dei ciottoli e così via. You may want to create multiple levels to avoid a flat look. You don’t need a big space to do it! If you have a balcony you can add a vertical garden or, if the space is bigger, you can create a deck for a relax corner. Plus, if you’ve not done anything much with your garden, you can completely change the layout of your garden to suit your preference, but that might need more professional help and a bit higher budget 🙂 // Se volete creare diversi livelli per evitare un risultato “piatto”, non avete per forza bisogno di grandi spazi! Su un balcone, ad esempio, potete creare un giardino verticale o, in una veranda, una zona rialzata per il relax. Se, poi, dovete rifare il giardino da zero, potete sbizzarrirvi, ma, se avete paura di sbagliare, affidatevi a un professionista che, con un budget un po’ più alto, vi consiglierà le soluzioni migliori 🙂

Okay, this is for bigger spaces, but a pond is everything I’ve always dreamt of since I was child haha! It creates a magic and peaceful atmosphere, right? And you can make it yourself! Mark out the size of your pond in an area that’s clear and visible, then dig out the soil and make sure you line your pond securely before pouring in the water. The cost isn’t that expensive, and if you don’t like the idea of DIY, then you can always get it professionally installed by someone who’s experienced in it. I can see myself sitting by the water reading a book. Awww! // Okay, questo è per gli spazi più grandi, ma uno stango è tutto ciò che ho sempre sognato sin da quando ero piccola! Non solo è estremamente bello, ma crea anche un’atmosfera magica e rilassante, vero? Potete anche realizzarlo da sole, seguendo uno dei tanti tutorial sul web, o affidarvi a un professionista se non vi sentite sicure. Io già mi ci vedo, seduta vicino all’acqua, a leggere un libro e sonnecchiare!
Make it comfortable // Rendetelo confortevole
You and your guests will want something comfortable to sit on when you go outside, so having the right outdoor furniture is important. Choose outdoor furniture that are effectively weather resistant and easy to assemble and clean. The cost is not so cheap but it is better to invest on something that last longer, right? // Voi e i vostri ospiti volete un bell’angolo comodo dove rilassarvi e passare bei momenti, giusto? Ecco perché dovete optare per dei mobili da esterno, resistenti all’acqua, facili da assemblare e da pulire. I modelli sul mercato costicchiano, ma bisogna investire un po’ di più se si vuole qualcosa che duri nel tempo!

Lighting can make a huge difference to your outdoor space, particularly when it can change the whole atmosphere. You can opt for many types of lighting, from modern lighting to hanging ones. There’s also solar powered lighting, so you don’t have to worry about the electricity bill or you can create yourself a fire pit or stove. The ideas are many! // L’illuminazione è importante in uno spazio all’aperto, perché ne cambia l’atmosfera e lo rende vivibile a qualsiasi ora. Potete scegliere tra infinite soluzioni, da luci moderne ad altre piccoline da appendere, fino a quelle alimentate con pannellino solare. Le idee, insomma, sono davvero tante e per ogni esigenza e budget!
