Christmas holidays mean lots of hours with family and friends eating, laughing, chilling, eating and…did I say eating yet? Chances are that when they’ll be over we could need some quite time with no one around. This is why these DIY orange scented bath salts are the perfect gift idea for our beloveds (or ourselves!) to have some relax after the festive marathon. Oh, and they’re so easy to make!

Le feste natalizie significano un sacco di momenti con famiglia e amici mangiando, ridendo, oziando, mangiando e…ho già detto mangiando? Alla fine probabilmente avremo bisogno di un po’ di tranquillità senza nessuno intorno. Ecco perché questi sali da bagno all’arancia sono il regalo perfetto per chi amiamo (o per noi stesse!), per avere un po’ di relax dopo la maratona delle feste. Ah, e sono facilissimi da fare!

YOU NEED // VI OCCORRE:
For the bath salts // per i sali
- coarse salt // sale grosso
- orange essential oil // olio essenziale di arancia
- cinnamon powder // cannella in polvere
- red food coloring (optional) // colorante alimentare rosso (opzionale)
For the package // per la confezione
- orange peel // buccia di arancia
- cookie cutters // formine per biscotti
- jar // barattolo
- box or basket // scatola o cestino
- Christmas garland // festone
HOW TO // COME PROCEDERE:
MAKE THE BATH SALTS // REALIZZATE I SALI DA BAGNO
Fill the jar with salt, add one spoon of cinnamon, few drops of essential oil and 1 or 2 drops of red coloring, then blend. Let the jar open for 10 minutes to let it dry. // Riempite il barattolo di sale, aggiungete un cucchiaio di cannella, poche gocce di olio essenziale e 2 o 3 gocce di colorante alimentare, poi mescolate. Lasciate aperto il barattolo per circa 10 minuti per far asciugare.
AND NOW PACK THEM! // E ORA IMPACCHETTATELI!
Use the cookie cutters to cut the orange peel in your favourite shapes to decorate the jar and to fill the box/basket, where you’ve already put the garland. Add a ribbon with a lovely message and voilà! Your gift is ready to give relaxing (and heavenly smelling) moments! // Usate gli stampini per tagliare la buccia nelle forme che più vi piacciono e per decorare il vasetto e la scatola/cestino, dove avrete già posizionato il festone. Aggiungete un messaggio con un nastrino e voilà! Il vostro dono è pronto a regalare momenti rilassanti (ed incredibilmente profumati)!
