I am! This is why I made a nice DIY journal where I can write down my Summer thoughts, highlights, things I want to remember (like the name of that cute restaurant on the beach). Definitely something that will be in my bag for the whole season! Ready to make yours?

Io sì! Ecco perché ho realizzato questo diario fai da te dove posso scrivere i miei pensieri, gli avvenimenti clou, le cose che voglio ricordare (come il nome di quel ristorantino sulla spiaggia). Senza dubbio un oggetto che porterò con me per l’intera stagione! E voi? Cosa aspettate a creare il vostro?

Adoro i diari, contengono i nostri ricordi e ci aiutano ad esprimere la nostra creatività o semplicemente a tenere a mente qualcosa di importante. Non importa se lo userete per disegnare o scrivere l’itinerario del vostro viaggio, lui sarà sempre con voi! Realizzate il vostro adorabile (e super personalizzabile) diario e divertitevi!

You need // Vi occorre:
- A4 sheetsr. // Fogli formato A4.
- Colored cardboard/marble paper/what you want for the cover. // Cartoncini colorati/carta marmorizzata/quello che volete per la copertina.
- Glue, scissors and pencil. // Colla, matita e forbici.
- Needle and thread. // Ago e filo.
How to // Come procedere:
1)
Fold the sheets in half and cut, then fold in half again (so that you have sheets as big as 1/4 of A4 dimension). // Piegate i fogli a metà, tagliate e poi ripiegateli a metà (così da avere pagine grandi 1/4 del formato A4).
2)
Superimpose your sheets and sign 4 points on the fold line of your first sheet. // Sovrapponete i fogli e segnati 4 punti sulla piega centrale del primo foglio.
3)
Take needle and thread, make the first knot and sew starting from the back and making the needle pass through the points you made. If you prefer, you can make the holes before you sew the sheets together. // Prendete ago e filo e fate il primo nodo e cucite i fogli partendo dal retro e facendo passare l’ago attraverso i punti segnati. Se preferite, potete fare i buchi prima di cucire.
4)
Make the closing knot, always on the back and cut the excess of thread. // Fate il nodo di chiusura, sempre sul retro, e tagliate l’eccesso di filo.
5)
Now make the cover. Cut a piece of cardboard (measure the open sheets sides and add 5 mm for each side) and other decorations you would for your journal. I opted for pink cover, with a piece of yellow cardboard and some marble paper. Glue them together as you prefer and then glue the cover to the sheets. You’re done! // Ora fate la copertina. Tagliate un pezzo di cartoncino (misurate i fogli aperti ed aggiungete 5 mm per ogni lato) ed altre decorazioni per il vostro diario. Io ho optato per copertina rosa, cartoncino giallo e della carta marmorizzata. Incollate il tutto come più vi piace e alla fine incollate i fogli alla copertina e avete fatto!
