Sometimes, when I see something in its usual environment, it happens that I imagine it with a different purpose and suddently I decide to reuse and give it a new life.
So, when I was with my mom at supermarket and saw this little, cute, wood strawberries box,
I opted for buying it and, after eating all the delicious fruits, for transforming it in a shabby chic tray.

A volte, quando vedo una cosa nel suo ambiente usuale, capita che la immagini con scopi differenti e che decida subito di riciclarla e darle una nuova vita.
Così, mentre ero con mia mamma al supermercato ed ho visto questa piccola, carina, cassetta di fragole, ho scelto di comprarla e, dopo aver mangiato tutta la frutta, di trasformarla in un vassoio dal tocco shabby chic…
You know, “combine business with pleasure”… and yes, strawberries were delicious! Anyway, it is one of the easiest diys ever and it will cost you only the price of some fresh, healthy fruit, so… what are you waiting for?

Sapete, “unire l’utile al dilettevole”… e sì, le fragole erano deliziose! In ogni caso, è uno dei diy più semplici di sempre e vi costerà giusto il prezzo di un po’ di sana, frutta fresca, quindi… cosa state aspettando?

You need // Vi occorre:
- A fruit box. // Una cassetta della frutta.
- 2 wooden slats for the handles. // 2 listelli di legno per i manici.
- White paint. // Vernice bianca.
- Brush. // Pennello.
- Hammer. // Martello.
- 4 nails. // 4 chiodi.
- Plastic tablecloth to protect your table. // Tovaglia di plastica per proteggere il tavolo.
How to // Come procedere:
1)
Cover your table with the plastic tablecloth and prepare the paint. // Coprite il vostro tavolo con la tovaglia di plastica e preparate la vernice.
2)
Paint the box and the wooden slats until they are all covered up. It doesn’t matter if you don’t paint perfectly, shabby chic style doesn’t require it. // Verniciate la cassetta ed i listelli di legno finchè non saranno coperti per intero. Non importa se non verniciate perfettamente, lo stile shabby chic non lo richiede.
3)
Let them dry. // Lasciateli asciugare.
4)
Nail down the slats to the box, using one nail for each angle and the tablecloth to protect the bottom of tray. // Inchiodate i listelli alla cassetta, usando un chiodo per ogni angolo e la tovaglia per proteggere il fondo del vassoio.
